ABORIGINAL SECTOR OF NSW DOSRD FOUND ME, ENGAGED ME, AND PAID ME, $10,000 TO ASSIST SUSTAIN THEIR INLAND ABORIGINAL BUSINESSES.

I DID MY RESEARCH AND FOUND THERE WERE NOT SUFFICIENT  VISITORS IN REGIONAL AUSTRALIA TO MAKE THEIR INLAND ABORIGINAL BUSINESSES VIABLE. I COULD SEE THAT YOU COULD FIRE A GUN UP ANY RURAL INLAND ROAD AND YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO HIT ANYTHING. YOU CERTAINLY WOULD NOT HIT AN OVERSEAS VISITOR.

I GAVE THEM A SOLUTION THAT WOULD  ATTRACT THOUSANDS OF OVERSEAS VISITORS TO TRAVEL OUT OF SYDNEY, AND BETWEEN THE ABORIGINAL BUSINESSES, AND MAKE THEM ALL VIABLE.

HOWEVER FOR SOME REASON THE “ABORIGINAL EXPERIENCES SUPER HIGHWAY” HAS NEVER BEEN SET UP.  I CAN’T HAVE MY OVERSEAS JOURNALIST COLLEAGUES FREELY PROMOTE IT IF ITS NOT THERE.

THE FOLLOWING .PDF’S PROVIDE RESEARCH AND RATIONALE BEHIND THE CONCEPT .

IF THERE IS SOMEONE READING THIS BLOG, WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT PROGRESSING REGIONAL ABORIGINAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, PLEASE CONTACT ME AND “YES TOGETHER” LET US SEE WHAT WE CAN DO TO GET IT ESTABLISHED.

The 1000km trail was to cover 1000 k’s of driving , out and back from Sydney , the Highway was divided into 5 one week management sections. In this way a visitor, seeking to meet the Aboriginal people, on a respectful basis, and at a time convenient to both parties, could do that and thereby enjoy the best access and experience of the Aboriginal peoples culture, knowledge and beliefs. They could do that on a, one week to 5 week, drive out of Sydney, with different meetings and experiences available in each week, and the content, and costs, for each experience, and visit, known in advance.

I offer below a different .PDF for each of the 5 planned weeks . Together they make up the total  “Aboriginal Experiences Super Highway”. The Highway, by the way is a globally unique visitor proposal that would enjoy guaranteed free global media publicity between the 2,200 networked travel journalists who are my colleagues.

Why hasn’t the Highway been taken up and enacted to benefit all parties ? Does that really matter ? I would rather just see us all get on with it and seeing it implemented.

ALMOST EVERY OVERSEAS VISITOR IS INTERESTED IN MEETING REPRESENTATIVES OF AUSTRALIA’S SURVIVING, 40,000 YEAR, ABORIGINAL PEOPLE AND CULTURE.

ABORIGINALI WAS PARTNERED BY TED AND FAY HAMPTON , ABORIGINAL LEADERS RESIDENT IN ALICE SPRINGS AND TOGETHER WE LAID THE GROUNDWORK FOR THAT TO HAPPEN.

Initially Ted Hampton and Charles Perkins convened NIBEC which was billed as the First National Indigenous Business Economic Conference in 40,000 Years.

Then Ted and myself seeking greater, grass roots, practical business advice for his people, convened three more Aboriginal Business Progressing Conferences. Two in Sydney and one in Canberra. Some further details that describes what we discussed, and did, at these Conferences can be found by CLICKING on the URL web References below.

PIGS.WILL.FLY AUSTRALIAN RURAL NEWS MEDIA ORGANISATION REPORTS ON AUSSIE-STONE’S PERSISTENCY TO RESPECTFULLY PROGRESS ABORIGINAL TOURISM BUSINESS

Any person or organisation seeking an insight into the current thinking and goings on in Regional Australia can do no better than to subscribe to Gail Plowman’s PIG WILL FLY National Media  Newsletter. When on the PWF site you can easily provide your email address to  SUBSCRIBE.

Below are some of the PWF reportings on the “NON PROGRESS” of my Aboriginal and Outback Experiences Super Highway Plan. This is a simple concept to give Overseas and Australian Visitors an opportunity to respectfully meet with Australia’s Aboriginal people and thereby be able to fully experience and know their culture, understandings and present life circumstances. Nearly all visitors to Australia (85%) have stated that they have an interest to meet with Aboriginal people and see and enjoy their Arts, dances, music and culture.

It operates on the simple basis  of an interested  visitor phoning ahead to Aboriginal Elders and their contacts on an throughout Inland NSW, who have placed their phone number on a list so that interested visitors can arrange a convenient time to visit with them. It also provides their activity and fair payment details.

Despite my being approached, and then engaged, and then paid, $10,000 by the NSW DOSRD  to produce a respectful solution for progressing inland Aboriginal businesses, and despite this solution being unanimously agreed to, and applauded by all the Government, Council, Tourism and NPWS and Aboriginal Elders and delegates attending the Bourke Council Chambers Meeting to consider it and give full considerations as to its workability, Senior Officers of the NSW DOSRD subsequentally allowed inexperienced Junior Officers in their Department to alter the concept to a point where the idea became, disrespectful to its Aboriginal participants, and unworkable and it was subsequently abandoned. I am not in the blame game but in the “Progress Rural Australia” game which is why I have campaigned so extensively, and publicly, to have the concept be instituted a made a reality with a sole end objective of progressing the great State of NSW and its Inland Regions and its Aboriginal people.
